How using SEO can make your blog stand out!

Making your blog stand out can be difficult with the natural world being slowly consumed by the digital world. Blogs today are also more popular than ever. On average, there are 4.4 million new blogs posted per day across all platforms, with WordPress being responsible for over 70 million blog posts per month.

So, bloggers must pull their best tricks out of their sleeves to make their blogs stand out. This trick is called SEO.

What exactly is SEO, and why do we need it? SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. Search engine optimization generates improved exposure to your website by using well-placed long-tailed keywords that are highly searchable. SEO will help your website rank higher on Google so that readers are more likely to find it within the first few pages of a search.

Without SEO, your website is most likely to have a low rank on Google and therefore not be in the first few pages of a search. Therefore, your website will get very little exposure and visibility from potential customers. It will make it much harder. Therefore, you need SEO.

Some crucial elements make up SEO. One is keywords. Keywords are words or phrases that websites use to engage potential customers looking at/for their services. Keywords help connect searchers to your website.

When determining which keywords to pick, there are a few things you need to consider.

The first is search volume. The more people who search a word, the more traffic will flow to a website.

The second is relevance. The connection between the keywords you choose, and your website content is essential to your exposure.

Lastly is competition. Pick words that have high searchability but low competition.

Another crucial element that makes up SEO is content. Your content is what you use to engage and reach your audience. Content can include and is not limited to social media posts, web page content, videos, podcasts, blogs, etc.

SEO can also help build credibility and trust between bloggers and readers. This is highly beneficial to smaller unknown bloggers, which allows them to grow with a dedicated following over time. Of course, this doesn’t happen overnight, but if you are patient, this will pay off.

SEOs are also virtually inexpensive. Instead of spending additional money to make your website desirable, you make a business investment.

Search engine optimization tactics can significantly improve and increase a website’s visibility when used with maximum efficiency.

When done well search engine optimization can greatly improve and increase not just a website’s visibility, but its credibility. The use of SEO can truly make or break a blog.

To any blogger who wants their website to be seen and appreciated, SEO is the best and most effective way. I have found that by learning about SEO, I have become a better blogger and capable of positioning my website to the right audience. If you are a writer looking to generate a larger readership and are unsure how to do so, try implementing SEO.
