Background

Hello! My name is Sydney Brown, and I am from Marietta, Georgia. I am a senior at Auburn University, majoring in public relations. I enjoy taking my camera around campus and grabbing coffee with friends between classes. Whenever I can, I enjoy traveling back home to Georgia to be with my mom, dad, sister, and black Labrador Retriever. I love sitting with Nyx outside in the shade and reading a good book. I have a passion for reading, writing, creating, and working with new people. My dream job is to work as either an editor or a publicist for a book publishing company, and I hope that I can achieve that goal one day.

Future Plans

This summer, I am interning with The Mayfield Group, a boutique public relations marketing firm, to enhance my public relations knowledge and develop the skills I have learned throughout my college career. Additionally, this school year, I have had the opportunity to learn graphic design skills, including Adobe Creative Cloud, HubSpot Graphic Design, and Google Analytics. These will all be valuable tools in my internship this summer.

Next fall, I am entering the Disney College Program and am staying until the spring! I am super excited to learn new things, meet new people, and create life-long memories in the happiest place on earth. I am looking forward to what the future teaches me and what I can bring forth into the world of public relations.
